Privacy Policy

This explains what AnacomAI collects when you use it, why, where it's kept and how to delete it. The service is run by the AnacomAI team in Australia. Questions: anacomai.app@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Photos you upload, after we remove location and camera details from them, plus a small thumbnail.
  • What you search for and the results we found, including the boxes and outlines drawn on your photo.
  • Feedback you give on results (right, wrong, missed something).
  • Account details if you make an account: your email and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We can't see your password.
  • Google sign-in, if you use it: Google tells us your email address, whether Google has confirmed it, and an ID number for your Google account, so we can sign you in. We don't get your Google password, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
  • Developer API, if you use it: your API keys (stored scrambled, so we can't read them back), how many searches each key made and when, and your plan and billing status. Photos sent to the API are processed in memory and not stored.
  • Payment details for API plans are collected and kept by Stripe. We only receive your plan and payment status, never your card number.
  • Your settings and a count of how many searches you've done this month.
  • Memory and My objects, only if you use them: the photos you add, any place name you give them, and a numeric summary of each photo used to search them.
  • Technical logs: which pages and features were used, when, whether they worked and how long they took. Logs don't contain your photos, your searches or text read from your photos.

We don't sell your data, show ads, build advertising profiles, or recognise faces. Live camera frames are checked in memory and never saved.

Who else handles it

  • Our search engine runs on our own computers in Australia. Searching doesn't send your photos or searches to any outside AI company.
  • Supabase stores our database and photos, in Mumbai, India.
  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Cloudflare carries traffic between your device and our search engine. It doesn't keep your photos.
  • Google handles “Sign in with Google” and sends our emails (sign-up confirmation and password resets) through Gmail.
  • Stripe processes payments for API plans.

Your data may be processed outside Australia by these providers. If we ever start using an outside AI service to process your photos, we'll update this policy and let you switch it off first.

How long we keep it

  • Searches and their photos, if you have an account: until you delete them, or for a shorter time you choose in Settings.
  • Searches made without an account: 30 days. If you make an account or sign in on that device, they move into your account and are kept the same way.
  • If you turn off “Save searches to history”: photos from new searches are deleted after about an hour.
  • Sign-ins last 90 days and renew while you keep using the app.
  • Memory photos and My objects: until you delete them.
  • Feedback where you've turned on “Help improve AnacomAI”: we keep that photo and your feedback to test improvements, until you delete your account or ask us to remove it.
  • Account details: until you delete your account.
  • Billing records for API plans: as long as tax law requires (in Australia, usually five years), even after you delete your account.

Your choices

In Settings you can delete your saved history, turn off Memory, and delete your account. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove AnacomAI's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting your account removes your photos, searches, Memory, objects, feedback and settings straight away. For anything else, including a copy of your data, contact anacomai.app@gmail.com.

Children

AnacomAI isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect.
